Ecosystems and Global Change Group

Ecology • Evolution • Conservation

How are the world’s ecosystems changing? How can we restore and conserve them? And does looking into the past help answer these questions?

Our group works worldwide at the interface of ecology, evolution, and conservation.

We are interested in how ecosystems are assembled and function across large spatial scales, and how human activities are changing these processes.

We ultimately aim to develop predictive models that can inform policy and management of ways to mitigate the impacts of global change on the benefits that ecosystems deliver to humans.
